Hawkear,
If the gold object were in a form of say a bracelet, then it could have been claimed by the UK Government and the finder gets nothing.
In the form of nugget, it has no “Aesthetic” value and the finder gets it all (or at least 50% depending on the agreement with the land owner)
So...
So a cancelled trip to Oz but comes up trumps in the UK.
Could not make it up!!

All,
So I am short listing the Subaru Outback as my vehicle (hopefully the Wilderness if it comes to Oz).
Now I am seaching for a good offroad camper trailer ( 1 man ) that would suit the areas on WA that searching for gold I will be travelling to and through.
Any tips?

John
Bundyjd + Axtyr,
Yep, sure are a lot of options.
Hybrids seem to be gathering favour.
So maybe a manual Subaru with low Ks util a Hybrid comes out?

Hi All,
I am tempted by the Outback Wilderness released in Oz in 2024.
Trying to find a Draw/Bed system that is easy to install and take out.
Any suppliers in Oz?
Regards
John

The Chicken Track is a given.
But I still have a nagging doubt about the CVT.
I have watched YouTube videos which pretty much reflect on all the above.
A...
I am in the situation where I need a new vehicle (not brand new unless I hit pay dirt!)
I have been considering a Subaru Outback or Forester.
I need a daily vehicle to carry the occasional passengers and also for propsecting.
Yep - I can hear the gasps of the Ute drivers…
But does anyone...
Russel,
Remember Bell Bros were at the back of the Paraburdoo camp in 1971.
Only spent a few nights in Hedland before going to Shay Gap in 1972.
Ended up working in a Newman Line camp in 1973 before pulling the pin and going back to Uni.
Funny thing is after all those mining construction...
Russell,
Thanks, will look at this on the map, and thanks for the detecting tip.
Not sure that I would call the workers camels and donkeys! but I must admit there were some "stars" during the construction - only joking...

I am planing a trip up to Shay Gap WA.
I worked there during the construction of the township.
Does any one have the Location Co-Ords of the Camp?
Just need to tick a box.
